About Pushpa Vellal
Founder
Pushpa Vellal is an educator, academic leader, and mentor with over two decades of experience shaping schools, educators, and learning communities across India and abroad.
She has worked extensively with CBSE, IGCSE, and IB curricula, holding senior leadership roles including Principal, Academic Director, and Head of Department in reputed institutions.
Throughout her career, Pushpa has been deeply involved in academic leadership, curriculum design, teacher development, and student mentoring, with a strong belief that education must nurture not only academic excellence but also character, emotional intelligence, and purpose. She has led multi-campus academic operations, implemented international programs, mentored educators at various stages of their careers, and guided students through rigorous research-based learning pathways.
A passionate advocate for inclusive and value-based education, Pushpa has worked closely with SEN learners, embedded social-emotional learning into school culture, and championed leadership and life-skills programs for both students and teachers. Her approach to education is holistic - integrating academic rigor, wellbeing, ethics, and real-world relevance.
Taruḥ was founded as a natural extension of this journey - to create a space where learners and educators can grow strong roots, discover their potential, and rise as conscious, compassionate leaders.
